English is a funny language.
While the process of becoming intoxicated is called Intoxication, the inverse process Is Not called Detoxication.
For a reason unbeknownst to us, we understand that Intoxication is an Act of the Self.
Admitting that for everything in nature, the converse is always True -
We understand that the process of detoxing the self is a Self less Act conveyed by the word "Detox - i- fixation".

One of the meaning of the word Intoxicate (verb), is "to elate beyond self control". When one is in ecstatic bhakhthi, methinks, it is the universal paramaathma, who intoxicates you, to experience the "bliss" of being "one" with Him.So long as the self remains, this bliss is unachievable.
ReplyDeleteWhat sort of De-tox-i-fixation one needs when you reach this intoxification level, is not clear, unless you are confining yourself to "drugs" "alcohol" or any other artificial intoxication.
Pure bhakthi/saranaagathi, will remove every trace of "I" fixation. In this yuga, when every and any one, is deluded in the illusion that he/she is aware/in the knowledge of the ultimate truth of advaitha, the only means of blissful intoxication is alas artificial ones. Bhaja Govindam, appears to me as the only true way to get there, as "I am Brahmaasmi" etc are purely great debating points, and very clearly not so cheaply/easily attainable. They are at best intoxicants like "drugs" where you just lose/elate yourself to unmanageable levels. No amount of detoxication or what have you will ever get you there, no matter, how profound your mastery over shruti/smiriti,vedanta, and not to forget the russels, whiteheads, Fosters, et al And they are just "dukrung karane" stuff, unless there is God's Grace. Surrender unto Him my boy, with full faith,if you want deliverance. Love Vichu
Hi Naresh
