Jai Joshi's Tulsi Tree: Sahadev - Of Great Fortitude

You have very diplomatically omitted any preface or remarks before posting this unusual story. You are getting to be a scholar perhaps.

The Ramanand Sagars and the B R Chopras of the world seem to have excellent talent in digging out such strange stories. Lacking in scholarship, I have no means to challenge either the interpretation drawn or the veracity of the story itself. The following are very disturbing.

Sahadevan is a cannibal: eating his own fathers brain seems repulsive to my sensitive faith.

Krishna knew but comes late as a sage to confront Him. So it would appear He wanted this to happen.

Sahadeva became a trikala gyani. But yet wants a promise from Krishna to protect them from all the misfortunes that is going to befall them knowing not only the nature of these and the fact that Krishna is going to protect them.

Finally he strikes a hard bargain. Trikala gyani is actually bargaining with whom? The lord Himself?

Only a "paandu" could have written a story like this. And I feel sad that another countless "Paandus" are actually swooning over this great stuff. I am indeed happy that I am not a "trikala gyani"; Sahadeva, "astrolger" par excellence, would not have held my great admiration. On a second thought I wish I were really a TKG as then I could have told these Paandus the real story of Sahadeva.

    Love

    Vichu
