With limited options for entertainment, I hope you will all not grudge my new-found enthusiasm for this almost daily dose of Time-Pass "thoughts", but try and indulge this old man to the extent possible.
Today's theme.
I am unable to let go the fascination for my yesterday's "info vs knowledge" debate. Here is a further "expo".
Milk is available in a kirana store nearby is info. That it is good for health and mixed with black coffee tastes good etc is Knowledge.
There is however another step; There is a Chinese saying "the more you know the less you understand" .
So without wasting too much time trying to excel in info/knowledge about milk, follow the Upanishad/Vivekanand's edict "awake, arise, and do not rest", and partake this milk. This is "understanding".
Please bear with me to take another analogy in the context of our "blog".
Vichu has been contributing a lot of material to this Jignyaasaa portal is "Info".
That this jignyaasaa is a genuinely sincere quest to unravel the mysteries of the "why Am I " paradigm, manifesting itself as outpourings of an inner unease/turmoil, is "knowledge".
Realizing that this inner unease is but a manifestation of an evolutionary process to reach that stage in experience is "Understanding".
And BTW, the portal is an open platform. Info like authorship, the style of writing, eminence or otherwise in society, the readership data, the number of "likes" & "shares" etc etc., are just "red herrings". These have no relevance to the process of evolution.
(Ha Ha Ha.... does it sound like a Narcissistic streak??? Samajne wale samaj gaye hain naa samjhe woh ...... hain...)
