Hi folks,
Its been some time, since I blogged last. So I return to the blog with the general intent of sharing some "secular" stuff.
By and large I hope to confine my inputs to ideas ( suggestions, concrete thoughts and in some cases detailed dreams of products , services and the like) which come to my mind immediately in daily transactional life.
The simple idea for starters today is this -
Most South Indians use virgin coconut oil as a skin moisturizer as I do and the problem being, in winter times, coconut oil freezes in the plastic bottle causing every South Indian to put the plastic bottle in warm water before he/she extracts a handful.
The way many companies get around this is by adding an anti- freezing chemical which lowers the freezing point.
I always wondered why they couldn't package the coconut oil in microwave safe plastic bottles?
If some brands like Parachute and Nirmal are already doing it, they can surely add a sign to their bottles indicating the same.
The advantage is that it avoids the use of anti-freezants and allows use of coconut oil the way it is preferred by us, natural and free- flowing.
More later,
Happy Diwali in advance to all.

Nice to see you in the "blogging" mood. It's been quite a while since pure virgin coconut oil has been used by me for the purposes you have mentioned. This is however a good suggestion and hope this reaches the manufacturers. My answer to this problem in the past was to buy this available in wide mouthed tin containers in Winters. It's of course another serious problem that many a time I had landed up with these in Summers!!!and plastic bottles in winters.
ReplyDeleteOne more point; there should be a scheme by which if you buy 100 bottles the manufacturers should give a microwave oven free! That would benefit both I guess. Love Vichu
