Sharing a thought - Move series

I was talking to Jinji yesterday, when we exchanged our usual thoughts on the perceivedly pronounced unease about how this is conveniently dismissed by the bhaktha kotis and even Acharyal very often as perhaps a lack of "shraddha", which rankles even more (Khundhak is an apt hindi word).

Mulling over it, I strangely, recalled the famous KBC episodes anchored by Bachhan. The format of the show provided (as you all may be aware), that for every correct answer, the prize amount doubled. And at every question, there were these three options, either (a) you answer correctly double your earnings, and get to the next question, or (b) fail to answer and lose all the money save some 10,000 odd amount, or (c) take the third option, of quitting, decide it's enough, and take the money that has alreday been earned, and enjoy.

In our quests for paripakkuam, realisation, reaching "I am" stage, or whatever, we all have reached a certain stage, and we all have the above 3 options; (a) Just cash in on our accumulated punya, and enjoy, (b) be sure of progress, and go for higher stakes (c) or just aim higher without a wherewithal, and lose even what you have, save a bit of punya.

The relatively comfortable and saranaagathy gang of bhakhtha kotis, have probably earned a good amount, and have decided to cash in, and enjoy. The evolution led are aiming higher and higher, (amongst these a few are able to even get the jackpot, and many may decide to cash in at a much higher threshold) , and there are the others who just want to gamble and quite a few of these risk losing it all.

I am not sure of others, but I seem to be not quite prepared to cash in yet. It's also clear that in the process, though not quite prepared, I risk losing all thall hs been earned , excepting a bare minimum. But the mute point is this; being not a KBC affair, and surely not for entertainment, why are the Gods not letting me either (a) to cash in and enjoy, or (b) to give me the kicks of enjoying answering further queries, and let me imagine that I know, but (c) take great delight in making me continue and be in the losing game almost all the time. ( Even Yudhishter was subjected to this ordeal, one may recall, but I am embarassed by the comparison, and I am not surely thrilled, to be thus entertained).

Is it to perhaps Forge, Anneal, heat treat, peel, soften, straighten, to take me to the jackpot level, in the absolutely perfect form? OK by me provided, I get some hints. Will HE or is HE listening ?

Wailingly

I am reminded of reading somewhere what Lord Krishna does to his dearest devotees.. My approximate recollection (plus some of my own imagination) is that he strips them of their position, followed by their wealth, their reputation, etc. etc.. until they reach a point where the only thing that they cherish is their devotion to Him.

Surely not for the faint hearted. Many will honestly and legitimately say that Oh Lord, take me close to you, but not so close as to have to endure these trials! :)

Trials I think can always be taken as a contributor to paripakkuam. It is easy to praise the Lord when he is showering you with prosperity. It takes paripakkuam to praise the Lord when he gives you adversity.

But can He confirm / give signs / keep giving assurances that he is giving us the tribulations to take us to an eventual jackpot? Maybe coping with the lack of such assurances is the hardest part of the test He is giving us!

  2. I don't even aspire for the jackpot. I am also not too affected by visitations of by and large only disappointments, if not serious problems.

It is the undercurrent of fear, the seeping in of "ashradha" and probable path to getting "doubts" or a jolt to faith, all of which seem to be in the realm of a possibility, and without a massive dose of "anugraham" which is not being felt, all of these collectively are the causes for unease.

"jignyaasaa" for some samaadhaanam is just "on" and seems quite endless, and like the fellow, who kicks the pooja kalasam after 107 abhishekams, when he sees no visible signs of evolution, with 108 being the prescribed number, the same ashraddha and dobts part, can appear in the realm of the "possible", for us also, is a real threat.

In my letter to Mahasannidhanam, I have touched on these, with okays from Appa, and Gulpa. I will revert on this if and after I get some blessings from Acharyal.

    Love
