Vichiisms - Old ones contd Sr no 5

I am still in the exercise of collating and posting the old "postable" pieces, which were missed mainly as I had neither the means nor the knowledge to do it. Young folks have to grin and bear it till the exercise is over to my satisfaction!!!!!!!!!! Here I go with another piece

"Perception is reality" is the quote (vichiism) from Suresh.

Obviously one has to transcend this reality and go beyond the concepts of Time, Body, the Three Gunas, ( Kaala trayatheethaha, Deha trayatheethaha, Guna thrayatheethaha), to be able to dissolve into the ultimate "bliss" of oneness with the Universal soul. This is represented by a Mudra namely "Chin Mudra" formed by touching of the tips of first finger and the thumb. Goddess Sharadamba, and Lord Daksinamurthy are depicted with this mudra. There is also a "Chin Mudra Buddha"

The figure one gets is that of a circle, or shoonya (Zero), and meant to convey that there is neither a beginning nor an end...... Shoonya can also mean "ignorance".

Interestingly in the hymn in praise of Durga, "durga atharvasheersham" the universal soul in the form of Durga is described as both "shoonya" as well as "ashoonya". In other words, she is limitless as well as limited, full of knowledge as well as "ignorance".

Ignorance is bliss is a famous quote....indeed it is and a take from this will be the Vichiism of the week.

Ignorance of "ego" is the ultimate bliss.

Knowledge and ignorance are the two sides of the same coin; and in absolute liberated union with the universal soul, there is neither knowledge nor ignorance, only "bliss"

More blasphemically "ignorance is knowledge"
