Vichiism Sr no 8

The new design/format of the blog is so pleasing that, my sabbathical is forgotten and I decided that I will write something period. To loosen up I thought, I will start with my pet vichiism as it helps release the pressures in a great way, and makes me fit for the next heavy pieces.

Folks, if anyone is feeling uncomfortable with the term "vichiism" pl be upfront and suggest a change. But pleeaase, do not vote totally for banning this item altogether. Being a Friday, and a Chaturthi, re-starting with this seemed appropriate. Depending on whether these pieces are likeable or not, one can decide whether to thank the fellow who modified it, or to bemoan the fact . My thanks of course to I think it would be Chakku, who has probably done this excellent job.

Now to the vichiisms

1. The use of the term "Will you listen?" by anyone in a debate, generally is to bring about a closure of further arguments.

2. One of the tragedies of mankind is the predominant trait of giving weightage to the person who gives a suggestion/advice rather than the merit per-se. Thus the most mundane idea of a person liked, is more likely to be chorussed than a profound one from another who isn't too hot.

3. Thus stretching this further, for Democracies all over the world, winnability seems the only purpose, as once you win, you assume legitimate likeability factor, and can appropriate every suggestion as coming from them. Acceptability is almost assured.

Enough cynicism for the week?

Love and enjoy, nonetheless.

Vichu
